One of the biggest comic-related events held every year is the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo, also known as C2E2. Marvel often has a sizable presence at the show and uses it to hold panels on all different varieties of topics. With the huge success of Superior Spider-Man and the anticipation over the relaunch of Amazing Spider-Man (vol. 3), Marvel decided to host a panel on all the Spider-books that are coming out soon.
At the panel were Joshua Hale Fialkov, writer of Amazing Spider-Man: Who am I?, Mark Waid and James Robinson, who co-created Spider-Man: Family Business, Ramon Perez, artist of Amazing Spider-Man: Learning to Crawl, editor Nick Lowe, and editor Nick Lowe. There was a ton of new information released during this event. Here are just a few highlights of information and images that were released:
- Amazing Spider-Man (vol. 3) #1 is 96 pages long.
- Black Cat and Electro will be the villains of the first 5 issues.
- Felicia Hardy (Black Cat) is upset that by being arrested her identity was revealed.
- Issues #4 and #5 will tie directly into “Original Sin” and will reveal that someone else was bitten by a radioactive spider.
- That someone else is a female character by the name of Silk, who has mysteriously been absent throughout Spider-Man’s time as a hero.

- Amazing Spider-Man: Learning to Crawl‘s first arc takes place between Amazing Fantasy #15 and Amazing Spider-Man (vol. 1) #1-5. It is not apparent whether or not there will be additional arcs.
- The series will introduce a villain named Clash, who has also been missing from Spider-Man’s life.

- Clash’s powers are sound-related and he wears a costume that is based off of Spider-Man’s.
- Fialkov’s Infinite Comic Amazing Spider-Man: Who Am I? begins with Spider-Man not knowing who he is or why he is robbing a bank and doesn’t remember Uncle Ben’s lesson when he comes to.
- The first issue of Amazing Spider-Man: Who Am I? arrive May 6th.

- Spider-Man 2009 by Peter David and Will Sliney will feature a titular character who is stuck in the present.
- Amazing Spider-Man: Family Business was a number one New York Times bestseller.
- “Spider-Verse” will begin on Free Comic Book Day and continue in November.
- Preview slides of “Spider-Verse” showcased Spider-Man 1602 fighting against Morlun.
- “Spider-Verse” will not stop Spider-Men 2 from happening.
- Ultimate FF #4 will feature the new Ultimate Spider-character.
- Nick Lowe confirms that Anna Maria isn’t out of the book yet, not even close.
- Amazing Spider-Man: Family Business is in continuity and fans should expect more books like that, whether it be a OGN sequel or in the regular series.
- Kaine has a big role in “Spider-Verse.” He will be useful against fighting Morlun.
- There won’t be any symbiotes in “Spider-Verse.”
- Peter will have to come to terms that Otto was a better Spider-Man than him in some respects and might even incorporate some of his tech.
- Guardians of the Galaxy will dig deep into Flash Thompson’s history but Agent Venom won’t appear in Amazing Spider-Man soon.
