Ok… Marvel has sent out a teaser for Civil War #1. You might be interested because Spider-Man is involved, caught between Iron Man and Captain America – symbolic of the struggle the Superhuman Registration Act effected on super-powered individuals – blah blah blah.
But why on earth does that date say 2015?
Let me be clear. We have an image. We have NOTHING else. Everything else I say here, is simple guesswork.
I don’t think Marvel is doing “Civil War” again. Yes, “Civil War” was arguably one of the most popular and enjoyable events Marvel has done in recent memory – but redoing the event doesn’t make much sense. However… Marvel is doing an event called “Secret Wars” in 2015 (an event we know little about); so if I had to guess? Perhaps the “Secret Wars” event will explore the behind the scenes of many of the previous Marvel events? All the characters are wearing their old suits – this seems a lot like a flashback of sorts. Perhaps many universe-wide events were manipulated by some unseen force? Again, this is guesswork. I have no idea; that is why you are so important right now.
What do you think this means? Is this a flashback? Is this really a “Civil War” event, or is this just Marvel’s way of getting our attention? Leave your ideas in the comments – I’m here all day.
