For those of you paying attention it was recently reported that a teaser for “Spider-Man: Homecoming” was shown to those in attendance of the CCXP in Brazil. The video wasn’t long, but it reportedly gave a great look at a Ditko-esque, StarkTech upgrade to Parker’s Spider-Suit. It was assumed that the general public wouldn’t see any footage until the trailer debuts before “Star Wars: Rogue One” on December 15th.

It appears that the footage has been released online, to tease the full reveal of the trailer on tomorrow night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! It’s only fifteen seconds, but what a glorious quarter minute that is!

The video starts with a “found footage” feel, showing Spidey getting ready for action. What’s interesting is that young Master Parker seems to be wearing the same “uniform” that he was wearing in the Youtube video that Stark pulled up in Aunt May’s apartment in “Captain America: Civil War”. Jon Favreau returns as Happy Hogan popping in to ask, “What the hell is that?” before directing Parker’s attention to the case that “TS” has provided. I can only assume that chronologically this scene takes place some time (possibly right) before the epic airport fight scene in “Civil War.”

The teaser also shows Spidey jumping off the Washington Monument at one point, leading one to wonder what he is doing in the capital city. Maybe a class trip? I hope “we don’t get that weird forced patriotism of the older Spider-Man movies” to quote a colleague. Leave that to Cap, Marvel.

“Spider-Man: Homecoming” opens July 7, 2017. Come back tomorrow for the full trailer.
