200th Episode Anniversary Spectacular!

Double the size! Double the thrills!

Dan and Mark have reached another arbitrary milestone: episode 200! This time they are outdoing themselves with content that’s far better than endless backup stories, rotting inventory shlock, or needless character deaths (at least we hope). Yes, they flew across the country to attend TERRIFICON at Mohegan Sun to sit down with several fans and reminisce about the show’s history, interview a ton of amazing Spider-Man creators, and listen to your fabulous voicemails about your experiences with the show.

Basically, prepare yourself for a epic-sized amount of naval-gazing goodness, and our hosts potentially murdering a burglar. You won’t want to miss a second of it!

Guests include: Nick Spencer, Christopher Priest, Bob McLeod, Barry Kitson, Paul Soles, Marc Guggenheim, Brian Jacob, Swarm, and many more.

Of course, none of this madness would have been possible without our wonderful supporters on the Patreon page. This week’s Patreon Exclusive episodes include a review of Amazing Spider-Man #5/LGY 806. If you’d like to become a patron, please visit:

S02 Episode 12: Goodbye, Spider-Dad

In this season of the Amazing Spider-Talk podcast, Dan Gvozden and Mark Ginocchio will talk about how Spider-Man finally made it into the BIG TIME under the creative pens of Stan Lee and John Romita Sr.

In this twelfth and final episode of Season 2, they’ll be talking about how Stan Lee’s historic run ended on Amazing Spider-Man and how the transition to new writers was handled. It’s an episode so busy we needed six arms to handle it. To help us discuss that special time period we are joined by an incredibly special guest!

Who is that special guest?

He’s a comic book writer known for his work on The Avengers and X-Men, he was the first replacement for Stan Lee on Amazing Spider-Man and as Editor-in-Chief of Marvel Comics: ROY THOMAS!

Plus, we’re also joined by Nick Spencer and Marc Guggenheim as they give their thoughts on Stan’s run.

This week’s Patreon Exclusive episodes include a review of Amazing Spider-Man #4/LGY 805 and a review roundup of August’s B-Titles. If you’d like to become a patron, please visit:

S02 Episode 11: Secret Agent Parents

In this season of the Amazing Spider-Talk podcast, Dan Gvozden and Mark Ginocchio will talk about how Spider-Man finally made it into the BIG TIME under the creative pens of Stan Lee and John Romita Sr.

In this eleventh episode they’ll be talking about the reveal of Peter Parker’s parents’ deaths while serving as super spies tasked with the mission of bringing down the Red Skull. To talk about that controversial issue and how it changed Peter’s world and history, in Amazing Spider-Man Annual #5, they are joined by a special guest.

Who is that special guest?

He’s a comic book writer known for his work at DC on The Flash, Kingdom Come, and Superman: Birthright, but more in line with this topic of discussion, he’s also the Eisner Award Winning writer of Daredevil and the writer of Fantastic Four, Captain America, The Avengers, The Champions, Amazing Spider-Man, and most aligned with this show’s interests: the graphic novel Spider-Man: Family Business, which saw the character dealing with his parents’ legacy and introduced Teresa Parker into the world of Spider-Man… it’s none other than Mark Waid!

In this season of the Amazing Spider-Talk podcast, Dan Gvozden and Mark Ginocchio will talk about how Spider-Man finally made it into the BIG TIME under the creative pens of Stan Lee and John Romita Sr.

To help them with this episode, they are joined by a very special guest, pop culture and memorabilia expert, Rob Bruce. You may know him from his on-air appearances as a toy/memorabilia consultant to Jay and Silent Bob’s Secret Stash on AMC’s Comic Book Men show and as the co-founder/co-creator NJ Horror Con & Film Festival.
