Tyrone Johnson and Tandy Bowen are Cloak and Dagger, a crime-fighting team and Light and Darkness incarnate. These partners once lived on the outskirts – as runaway teens they embraced vigilantism after their powers activated through experimental drugs. Their relationship is symbiotic: Cloak’s ability to summon and enter the Darkforce Dimension is counteracted by the psionic light Dagger emits.

But they also played a key role in ’80s Spectacular Spider-Man comics and became long-time supporting characters in Spider-Man comics and events. What makes them such an important recurring role in Spider-Man’s life? We aim to find out!

The stories we’ll be talking about are Spectacular Spider-Man #s 64, 69, 70, 81, 82, and Cloak and Dagger (vol. 1) #1-4. We’ll be briefly touching on Cloak and Dagger’s developments past these issues but not in great detail.
