We’ve reported on the end of The Superior Foes of Spider-Man and its non-death several times over the past months.  Many suspected that the book would be relaunched under another name, with others speculating that the book would end due to how the trade paperbacks had been renumbered.  In the meanwhile we’ve seen issues #10 and #11 come out with fill-in writers and artists, much to the dismay of the fans of the series (no matter their quality).

In July’s solicitations the book seemed to be pushed back again from its supposed end date in July, at issue #15, to reveal that issue #13 would be coming out in July.  This meant that the series would likely end in August or September, but with a month break in the publication of issues, will there still be a momentum needed to keep any sales on the title?

Now, new information from artist Steve Lieber’s always active twitter page has cast a new light on the series’ believed ending:

So it appears that The Superior Foes of Spider-Man hasn’t been cancelled after all and won’t be finishing with issue #15.  The new question is that with the series that has been speculated to only run the original 15 issues, is the break in publishing to allow Nick Spencer and Steve Lieber to retool their story so that they can continue the story onward?  Either way, this seems like good news for fans of the series.
