At the fan favorite Cup O’ Joe panel at this years San Diego Comic Con it was announced that none other than Jason Reynolds, author of When I Was the Greatest, would be writing the very first Miles Morales young adult novel, published by Marvel.

That aren’t many details about the story, even the name and art we have are not final, but Jason Reynolds is a wonderful talent to see attached to a project like this. His book When I Was the Greatest won him the Coretta Scott King/John Steptoe Award for New Talent. He’s also written books such as Boy in the Black Suit, All American Boys, and As Brave as You, his debut novel.

There’s no information on when the book will be available but keep your eyes peeled for more announcements as they come.
