Play Video

In this season of the Amazing Spider-Talk podcast, Dan Gvozden and Mark Ginocchio will talk about how Spider-Man finally made it into the BIG TIME under the creative pens of Stan Lee and John Romita Sr.

In this eleventh episode they’ll be talking about the reveal of Peter Parker’s parents’ deaths while serving as super spies tasked with the mission of bringing down the Red Skull. To talk about that controversial issue and how it changed Peter’s world and history, in Amazing Spider-Man Annual #5, they are joined by a special guest.

Who is that special guest?

He’s a comic book writer known for his work at DC on The Flash, Kingdom Come, and Superman: Birthright, but more in line with this topic of discussion, he’s also the Eisner Award Winning writer of Daredevil and the writer of Fantastic Four, Captain America, The Avengers, The Champions, Amazing Spider-Man, and most aligned with this show’s interests: the graphic novel Spider-Man: Family Business, which saw the character dealing with his parents’ legacy and introduced Teresa Parker into the world of Spider-Man… it’s none other than Mark Waid!
