Fresh off the press is the news that the newest Executive Editor at Marvel Entertainment will be Mike Marts.  Mike is currently the Group Editor on the Batman books at DC but will come back this February to the “House of Ideas.”  Marts is known at Marvel for his work as a Senior Editor on New X-Men, Astonishing X-Men, and various other X-titles.

This is a huge get for Marvel as DC’s Batman titles are hotter than ever.  It will be exciting to see how that energy translates to the Marvel line.  With Steve Wacker’s departure, time will only tell if Marts will oversee the already successful Spider-Man titles.
