Who is “Dead No More”?

Marvel has released a new teaser today, hinting that someone from Spider-Man’s past may soon return – from the grave.

But don’t take MY word for it. See the theatrical display for yourself, below.

This is the second time Marvel has teased “Dead No More”. Two weeks, ago they posted another image with little more than three words for fans to speculate over.

DEAD-NO-MORE-f4256It is not yet confirmed if this is a universe-wide event or will be confined within the Spider-Books, but it DOES seem pretty clear that Spider-Man will be facing the not-so-dead, sometime soon. Marvel plans on revealing more on Free Comic Book day (Saturday, May 7th) but if you’re wondering who might be coming back from the dead… we might already have a few good candidates.

Current Spider-Fans  already know that a sinister red suit-wearing mystery man has been dealing out “dead” characters like a cheap deck of cards in the current Amazing Spider-Man run – starting with Oksana, and more recently Billy and Martha Connors.

And that isn’t the only “Surprise! This character isn’t dead!” cliffhanger in the 6 issue old series. Doctor Octopus has also been revealed to once again walk the earth in the form of the Living Brain – though more lively and scheme-y than the suspiciously cardboard attitudes of Red Suit’s examples.

Of course, why limit yourself to current events? Spider-Man history hosts a library of famous dead people. From Gwen Stacy, all the way to Marla Madison  – there certainly isn’t a shortage of shelved lives to bring back.

But surely they wouldn’t bring back Uncle Ben… right?

Right?!

So what do you think? From Uncle Ben to Clone Ben – who would YOU like to see come back? We’ll see on May 7th, but you’ll have to wait until then to know for sure… even if it kills you.
