allnewmarvelnow_logoIt was announced shortly ago that Senior Editor Steve Wacker would be leaving his position to move to California to work for Marvel Animation.  As the editor of the Spider-Man books he’s overseen some of the most interesting stories and periods of the books’ lives.  He started on the book with “Brand New Day,” delivering three issues a month, and is ending it with the return of a brand-new Amazing Spider-Man (Vol. 3) #1.  As with any ending there also comes a new beginning.  Today Wacker’s replacement has been named.  Is it Ellie Pyle, his Assistant Editor and longtime contributor?

Nope.  Today Marvel Entertainment told CBR that Nick Lowe will be the new Senior Editor of Marvel Comics’ Spider-Man related titles beginning in February.  Nick Lowe is known for working on the X-Men books for the past several years, leading hot story-lines such as “Schism.”
