The Weekly Bugle reports on everything Spider-Man around the web; a whole week’s worth of journalism in one place with snazzy short summaries – you’re welcome, busy people! Expect to find all the rumors, interesting bits, and spider-sightings that DIDN’T make the Featured News – along with links to everything we publish during the week!
Boo! Happy October Everyone! This is the time of year I think about Ghosts, Goblins, and Spidey-News! Too bad the news cycle doesn’t agree with me. We are more empty than a skeleton’s chest cavity, light as a terrifying apparition, and about as filling as a Jack-O-Lantern. Don’t worry, news hounds! We have a very surprising statement from Kevin Feige; and just in case that assurance was sarcastic in nature, you can rest assured that we also have some cool comics – and even a homemade web-shooter tutorial. Enjoy Webheads!

SPIDER-MAN CAN SERVE A “GREAT PURPOSE” IN THE MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE
In movie news, our gal friday (AKA Kevin Feige) has made a truly multiverse-shattering statement about Spider-Man:
“I think Spider-Man can serve great purpose in our universe and that’s where he belongs. That was what was unique about him in the comics was not that he was the only superhero in the world; it’s that he was a totally different kind of superhero when compared against all the other ones in the Marvel universe at the time.” Feige dropped another bombshell, “it’s not about when you show up, it’s about what you do once you’re there.”
If you can catch your breath, you can read more about the “great purpose” and what comes with that over at IGN.
COMICS NEWS
Denton, Texas Gets Special Edition Spider-Man Comic Cover
Oh, this is pretty cool! So there’s a town in Texas called Denton – and one of their landmarks is going to be on a special limited edition cover for the Spider-Man #1 relaunch this Wednesday. Apparently there’s a comic book store owner (and his store) across the street from Denton’s Town Square. Though not quite as awesome as Times Square in New York, Spidey will still be swinging the local site in style thanks to Tim Stoltzfus, owner of More Fun Comics and Games on the Square. It’s not even the first time he’s got Denton on a cover – the Town Square has also been a backdrop on a Dr. Who comic. See the local news clip HERE – and check out the sweet cover to the right!

Fan-Made “Spider-Gwen” Trailer
Every once in awhile these fan made trailers pop up and inspire us to think, “What if?” Using footage from a number of Emma Stone led pictures, these editors put together their vision of what a Spider-Gwen picture might look like. The effects are pretty cheap and the editing not entirely seamless, but its a fun look into a possible future.
Man In Spider-Man Costume Rescues Couple In Burning Car
Talk about coincidence. According to the Eastbourne Herald a couple, comprised of a man who recently chopped off his finger in a lawnmower accident, his pregnant wife, and their 3-year-old daughter, were rushing to the hospital to save his severed digit. Heard this one before?
Suddenly their car burst into flames and they were stuck on the side of the road. Imagine their surprise when a man in a full Spider-Man costume came bounding across the street to save them from their flaming car. This man wasn’t Peter Parker, but Tim Roche a local children’s entertainer hosting a birthday party across the street. With the family saved they were still able to get to the hospital in time to save the husband’s finger. Check out the link about to see more pictures and details about this unbelievable event.
SPIDER-BITES
Welcome to the working title of the comics section. Remember when your parents used to read the newspaper and seemingly enjoy the contents while all you wanted to do was read the funnies? Ya’know… last week. Comic strips are a staple of any good news source – but we figured we could have some funny pages too.
And Everything We Did This Week:
Here at Superior Spider-Talk – we release a lot of News and Features every week; they are all well-written and expertly crafted to be interesting and fascinating for hours – but you don’t have to take my word for it!
